You can now do WU online which saves a lot of hassle. Cheaper and quicker from Home.

You can pay also via BPAY or a bank TT (Telegraphic Transfer). (BPAY is cheaper.)

WARNING: The Aussie Bendigo Bank… Bank of Queensland and WESTPAC transfer TT funds via an intermediary bank which charges me $30 to collect in Vanuatu. Please avoid sending TT’s via these three banks (but BPAY’s might be OK?)

We’ve recently also had some BANK transfers labelled “International Money Transfers”. However these are now delayed for 10-12 days due to the war between Ukraine and Russia.

They don’t seem to have a minimum limit (like ordinary TT’s do) as we’ve now had 5 of these TT style payments for $75 each appearing in our account with no extra deductions. The last one came from the Commonwealth Bank. Inquire at your bank as I don’t know which banks use them. Also inquire about this possible 10-12 day delay.

Also a couple have come in labelled “Foreign Carded Telegraphic Transfer”. I don’t know where these originate from but appear in my account with NO deductions. Aussie NETBANK also works well.

IMPORTANT - Our online bank service here provides little website info as to who sent the TT. Please make sure your name is on the top line of transfer document.( IE. “JOHN SMITH PAYMENT”) otherwise we may have to spend days tracking it down.
